If you travel through the Bay Area, more than likely you will drive on a roadway that we have paved. We perform a large variety of paving projects from state freeways to private roadways. Our crews annually place over a hundred thousand tons of asphalt and it's their experience and dedication, backed by an advanced fleet of equipment, which enables us to maintain the high level of quality we produce day in and day out.
Hwy 80 Crack and Seat PCC, Asphalt Overlay, Fairfield to Vacaville CA
The scope for this project consisted of crack sealing existing asphalt shoulders, removal and replacement of PCC approach slabs, cracking and seating of existing PCC slabs, placement of over 300,000 tons of various types asphalt concrete overlays and placement and compaction shoulder backing on 10 miles of existing interstate highway mainline.
U.S. Highway 101/580 Interchange, San Rafael CA
This project consisted of widening and realignment of U.S. Highway 101/580 Interchange. Phased construction in eight stages and three sub-stages in order to accommodate traffic over three construction seasons required constant coordination. Major items of work included traffic control, roadway widening, construction of overcrossing, MSE walls, placement of lightweight fill and embankment, underground utilities, minor concrete, grading and paving.
This project received several awards including Caltrans Partnering in Motion (Silver-2008; Gold -2009), Caltrans Excellence in Partnering (Gold-2010), McGraw Hill California Construction "Best of" Award, Recognized Excellence in Transportation and Highway and from the International Partnering Institute the John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year Sapphire award.
