Refinery

Refineries are extremely sensitive environments in which to work, with demands so specific and stringent that few contractors have ever had the privilege to perform work within the premises of a refinery. With its goal of entry into the industry of general contracting for oil refineries, GBI created a specialized Refinery Division separate of its other operations. By investing in exceptional safety training for its employees, GBI’s Refinery Division is now operating with an elite team of individuals that are uniquely qualified and experienced to work in refineries. With its new division, GBI has performed work within the Chevron and Conoco-Phillips refineries.

In order to keep working in refineries, GBI employees must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for any injuries while on the job. Employees must also wear refinery-compliant clothing, observe restrictions on materials they can bring into the work zone, and maintain a perfect safety record. GBI’s impressive record in meeting all these requirements has led to many more opportunities to perform work with major refineries throughout northern California.
