Years of Service

Frank Palagi and Mario GhilottiFinding and retaining reliable and qualified employees is essential to the overall success of GBI. Every year at our annual corporate events, GBI takes the opportunity to recognize employees eligible for Years of Service Awards and those retiring.

Leading the pack is GBI’s most dedicated and longest continuous years of service employee (besides Mario Ghilotti, of course). With over 50 years of continuous service to Ghilotti Bros., Frank Palagi, Sr., is a rare asset, not only for his timeless effort to the company, but also for his profound knowledge and expertise in concrete. Frank started out as a laborer with the company when he was 17 years old and then ascended the ranks to Senior VP of Construction. Frank’s love of life demonstrates itself everyday through his sense of humor, and his smooth dance moves and great singing voice have been a constant at Ghilotti functions over the years.

Employees with continuous years of service to GBI are recognized at 5 year intervals to show our appreciation of their efforts. GBI’s current workforce carries 42 employees with 10 or more years of service at GBI, totaling 790 years of construction experience with GBI alone. The following list is a list of those employees having 10+ years with GBI.
